World number one Datuk Lee Chong Wei wins India Open twice

World number one Lee Chong Wei wins the India Open title in the men's singles for the second consecutive year at the Yonex Sunrise India Open Super Series 2014 badminton championships.


The battle ended in the favour of Malaysians, beating the world's number two China player Chen Long with 21-13 and 21-17. The 31 year old player dedicates his victory to his son Kingston Lee who will be turning one on the 12th of April.

Now, Lee Chong Wei will be focusing on his next tournament which is the Singapore Open. The Malaysian, who has won over 50 career titles targets to at least win one gold medal in an Asian Games or Olympic gold medal this time round. He plans to retire after the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil.
