Fans meet Fifa World Cup trophy

Many football fans gather at The Hayes on Sunday to catch a glimpse of the famous 18-carat gold Fifa World Cup trophy that has been touring across the world for some time now. Its mission is to travel to 88 countries within a duration of 267 days. There were almost 6000 Fifa World Cup Trophy tour on offer for the football fans.

Famous icons such as Colin Baker and Terry Medwin who were part of the Wales' 1958 World Cup team attended the tour as well. Thousands of fans were also seen queuing for photos of the trophy to be taken. It is truly a remarkable experience for people as this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Not everyone gets to be upclose to one of the world's most iconic trophy. Only teams who win in the upcoming World Cup and heads of state are allowed to touch the trophy. Many fans anticipate for the world wide football tournament.

By the end of its tour, the iconic gold trophy will have travelled 100,000 miles over six continents.
