Liverpool vs Tottenham 4-0, Reds to be season's winner?

What an exciting match that was between one of the two most aggressive teams on Sunday at Anfield. It is clear now that Liverpool is confident here in stating a total belief that they CAN win the title this season.

Kaboul scores an own goal just after two minutes

At the second minute, things eased up for the Reds thanks to Younes Kaboul's own goal. Glen Johnson was free on the right, and his low cross went crossing through the football pitch meeting the centre half and unfortunately backheeled into their own net.

Suarez scores the second goal

Then, Suarez stole the ball away from Kaboul and was sprinting towards the goal, with both defenders in pursuit. Still, they never had a chance to trap Suarez. Fortunately, he swept a left-foot across Lloris and shot inside the far post. That made the score 2-0 to Liverpool midway through the first half of the match. That definitely got the nerve off Reds manager Brendan Rodgers.

Coutinho scores the third goal

Hugo Lloris was a good keeper, he made wonderful saves from Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho but it didn't seem to be enough to prevent them from scoring. Coutinho, added the third goal and that was when Tottenham knew they were on the edge of defeat.

Suarez celebrates after Henderson scores the fourth

The fourth goal was a free kick from Henderson, and from then on Liverpool was obviously the winner of the match, resulting in Tottenham's disappointment. The Reds, are currently on top of the league with 71 points, only 2 points ahead of Chelsea and 4 points ahead of Manchester City. Both these teams will be coming to Anfield, Liverpool's destiny is very much in their own hands.
