Scholes begs for patience with Moyes

Paul Scholes

Previous Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes urged his formed teammates that are currently struggling with repeated defeat to tolerate with manager Moyes for just a little more despite his poor managing skills.

Just over a week, United loss to their bitter rival Liverpool by 0-3 and then went down to the same score with Manchester City. A week after, Manchester United falls down to the 7th placing with 51 points after their defeat to City by 3-0.

Their drastic performance left fans asking how did what was once an effectively winning team that won last season's league had become so ineffectual after Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement. The other question is also why he decided to choose Moyes as his successor.

United manager, David Moyes

Scholes said that the team cannot blame solely on Moyes (former Everton manager) despite all of United's defeats this season. In fact, he even advised the struggling English players to give their new boss more support in order to boost up United's confidence.

"You have to stand by him, he's made a couple of signings that haven't quite worked out yet as he would have liked and in the summer he's going to need backing, there's no doubt about that," Scholes told Sky Sports on Tuesday.

The ex-England international also suggested that Moyes will need more players. It looks to him that there are a few areas which need addressing like midfield and defence.
