Premier League: Manchester United vs Manchester City Results and Highlights


Manchester City wins 3-0 against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Yesterday, striker Edin Dzeko who scored twice boosted up the team's confidence in winning, lifting the team to second place with 66 points in the Premier League. Manchester City has won three straight games vs Manchester United for the first time since 1969 to 1970.

United's weak defence and offence disappointed many fans who were hopeless watching at the benches. It took at least 15 minutes for the hosts to settle but even before the half-hour mark, both Danny Welbeck and Marouane Fellaini were fortunate to only receive yellow cards for challenges on Pablo Zabaleta - particularly the Belgian, who appeared to elbow the City full-back.

Fernandinho started the movie with a pass to Nasri on the left. Nasri cut inside and shot off the inside of the near upright, but the ball bounced into the middle of Dzeko, who shot into the net resulting in1-0 lead for City. At 56 minutes, Dzeko scored from the corner by directing the sprint towards the near post before scoring the goal without worrying about United's defence.


United had a fighting chance to score at 72 minutes, with Rafael crossing the ball to Welback but was unfortunately Hart managed to save the ball to preserve their 2-0 lead. In the final minutes, City's Toure amde it 3-0 to finish off United, leaving City with a proud victory.
